Need help quick!

I've got fueling problems of some sort i believe. Filled up with fuel this morning and on my way to work i have no power at full throttle. Started to pass someone and truck started spitting and sputtering and white smoking a little bit. Its due for an oil and fuel filter change. Gonna try fuel filter first and see what that does. Water in Fuel light is not on! Gonna try some fuel conditioner anyway. Truck has 195,xxx miles. ??????

I have seen a lots of water in fuel sensors not even plugged in on these old 1st gens...
People must forget after changing the filter to plug it back in.
If it happened just after a fill up, I would see if you can drain out any water from the filter.
I would do this before trying to just add fuel conditioner.
If you just filled up with lots of water [could be several gallons], you don't just want to try to emulsify the water into the fuel and run it through your motor.

You can find all the info in the sticky at the top. If you do a true 2nd gen you need a bypass regulator as well

I agree with Oliver, simple process just to make sure. Then add some conditioner just because and go from there. Good luck
