I will try to get the washer shaved. Two questions, what do most guys use? Small hand grinder would seem a little much. A file? What if I took out the little washer? Is that too much? Thanks, Tony

A piece of sandpaper on a flat surface works for me. I just rub the washer on the sandpaper.

Update on the fuel pin

Today I had a little time, and so I sanded down the nylon washer to about 0.900. Afterwards I put it back in with the deep side to the front, and man o' man what a difference. The truck is actually peppy now.
Time now for the real mods. Later, Tony

Just turning the pin alone isnt a big noticable difference. The pin grind is the difference. Yes the diapragm is a one piece deal. I didnt shave my washer do to the fact the rack rode on the pin as deep as possible so shaving the nylon washer isnt exactly for everyone. U just have to watch the "trail" the rack leaves on the pin to determin this. so in short BEFORE u shave the washer check the "trail" on the pin or u could bend the rack!!!

Hummm...no one mentioned this rack possibly being bent! Oh well it is too late now the washer has been shaved. Will this shaved washer affect the new pin I will some day put in? What is the rack anyway? Thanks, Tony
