Need a favor from someone with a 4x4 1993 model
Is it possible for someone with a 4x4 in a 93 model year, with the factory steering in place, to get a good pic of the steering unit mounted to that no longer available stand off plate mounted to the frame? I am working with a fabricator to make these plates out of billet aluminum, and he need to see a couple of good pics.
If this works out, he will be offering these for us in need. He has a plate of mine that I sent him, he just needs to see how it’s mounted onto these trucks.
I’m still in the healing stage, or else I’d go and do it myself(still a gimp)
Thank you, all

Other than I don't just think, I know I would not buy that bracket made out of aluminum.

I just need a pic, from your truck, mounted in place. T Cows was a decent pic, just need more of a closeup. I already know of that other bracket being made, and so does the fabricator.

This is interesting Augie, looking forward to updates.
If any existing frame cracks are addressed, and/or potential weak points are gusseted, I see no reason why a well designed aluminum piece shouldn't be able to spread the load.
I'm a steel fanatic, but aluminum "load spreader" plates have been used in aircraft as structural components for decades...

KRB, I believe the 89-93’s were the same in the diesels. The ramchargers and gasser trucks of that year though, were different in the hole sizes of the bolt holes. Smaller in size.
Can’t believe this tread hasn’t produced a pic yet

Thanks, KRB. I just need close up ones, a top view, bottom, and maybe angled from the right side pointing the camera to the left, just to see how it’s bolted on the frame.
Actually, the pics TCows had were good, just not close enough.
