Need an electrical brake system sensor part number please

While changing out my power booster I accidentally snapped off the top of the sensor that sits on the master cylinder manifold. I believe it is called a pressure differential switch that monitors the hydraulic pressure differences between front and rear brakes. Does anyone have a part number for the dealer? Orileys and napa here locally cannot locate so I am assuming it is a dealer item. Appreciate it and thanks in advance

I think that you are talking about the switch that turns on the brake warning light when there is a problem with the hydraulics. That is on the proportioning valve, although Dodge calls it a combination valve. I have been looking for it, but no luck yet...Mark

that is exactly what I am looking for. Plastic sensor with an o ring to keep brake fluid intact. No go at the dealer even?

I pm'ed you a couple of options from E-bay. I don't know if the dealer has it, but I cannot find any reference to it on-line AT ALL, except all the posts about the brake warning light coming on. It may be made of unobtanium, but if it was used on other applications it may be available. It is worth a call to the dealer, if for nothing else, to get a part number. There are many nla parts on these trucks...Mark

went to the dealer in Bay Area after work and the confusing part is the dealers schematics on his screen it is called a brake proportioning valve. Under section 5 in the shop manual it is called a proportioning switch, while in section 8 electrical it is called a brake warning lamp switch!! Page 8E-8 if you have the shop manual. Dealer said eBay or pick and pull for a replacement. The part number he gave me was 52007640

Did you try this place ?

http://www.newdodgeparts.com/OEMPart.../52007640.html

Looks to be the right part by the description, although you should double check with them to be sure.

Good find, but ask if they have it first. They list every part whether the have it or not. I found that out with the pedal pads (after somebody mentioned it in another thread)...Mark
