Re:Need part number for Jacobs Brake

I looked it up on the Cummins site, so the Cummins part number is 4089427 - this is for the 2003 Ram HD Jacobs Ebrake. I don't know the D-C part number, but mine just came into the dealer today and will be installed tomorrow, so I will be able to give you the DC part number tomorrow.

No problemo! I just dropped the truck off at the dealer, and the Mopar part number is 82208277. The parts guy congratulated me on ordering it several months ago when I ordered the truck, because the price has gone up on them. Of course, I had the price locked in at order time, so no increase to me. They used to be $800 installed, but he didn't tell me how much they are now.

Re:Need part number for Jacobs Brake

The extra cost was due to the belt driven vacuum pump as the 2003 engines no longer have vacuum pumps build into them. Still it is a good quality brake, no warrantee issues and excellent instructions. Jacobs ebrake; $1200. No pucker going downhill; priceless.

Casey
