Need door sills

Hello, I need door sills for both sides on a 92 w350 regular cab. They are aluminum and very worn. I have replaced the carpet, door gaskets, and seats. I hate to put these old cruddy things back in the cab. I contacted the dealer and was quoted $36 per side. Seems a bit pricey. I would settle for plastic aftermarket. Any help would be appreicated.

Goodluck, I havent found any. Its dealer or junkyard. I wouldnt take plastic anyway, with the abuse these things take.

Wink Make Them Yourself

I am up against the same thing, in the son's truck.

No way will I give $36 apiece for those flimsy little strips.

I am gonna build myself a break and make a heavy-duty pair out of treadplate.

Out of all the screws that hold these down, I got one to come out complete; the rest are broken stubs in the floor.

I haven't looked yet; but, I think I can probably vise-grip them, from underneath, and walk them out that way.

If not, I will grind them flush and make sure the next screws are in new meat.
