Need 2wd getrag info...pics?

I'm trying to get a proper tranny mount in the crewcab. I just bought a 2wd cummins cross member and mount from a 93 truck...but the tranny mount is not the one I thought it would be. I assumed that 2wd auto, and 2wd getrag, would share the same tranny mount. The mount that goes from the tranny to the cross member.

When I bought the crewcab someone had already slammed the cummins/NV4500 into the truck. They used hunks of channel for all the mounts. I want to put things back to as close to stock as possible. I am hoping the getrag 2wd mount will allow me to mount the NV4500 on the original 1st gen cross member.

Anyone who has done the NV4500 upgrade in their 2wd truck could you please tell me what you did for a tranny mount and cross member? And pics would be great as well.

Here is a couple pics of what I have, and what I think I'm looking for.

2wd Auto cross member and mount I just bought....

And the 2wd Getrag mount??

If anyone has a 2wd getrag mount I would be very interested in purchasing it!

I found the old listing for that E-bay mount...it was from a 91 Cummins D350 dually with a 3 speed auto...so from a 727...not 518. This would be why the difference I think.

Can someone with a 2wd Getrag truck snap a pic of the cross member and tranny mount?

I'll try to crawl under my '91.5 D350 tomorrow and get a picture for you. Any areas specifically or the crossmember itself?

Just looking to confirm the shape and type of cross member, and the mount/isolator.

Thanks for your help!

Timmy22...That you for the pics! That isolator/mount set up in the first pic is what I'm looking for. But also could use the isolator/mount set-up from the last pic too.

Well I hit the junkyard the other day...after printing off a list of vehicle that run that same mount/isolator. Hoped to find something that would work. I grabbed a couple mounts.

I tried them yesterday and still no go. There just is not enough room between the stock cross member, and the NV4500 mount mounting flange. For me to have enough room to use any kind of stock mounts I would have to cut out my floor and have my NV4500 sticking up into the cab.

With the cross member in place, and the isolator mount installed, I have about 1/2" to make a mount. Just don't know how guys are getting there NV4500's to work with stock mount set-ups....or pieces from other applications.

Just out of curiosity, What year frame?

Pre 91.5 is a 6" tall in the transmission crossmember area.

91.5-93 was 8" tall.

A 3" body lift would solve the problem too.

I have a crewcab...so it's the big 8" frame.

That's funny right there... If I was converting it to a 4x4 I might consider a small 1-2 inch body lift.
