Name this Part?
What do you call the piece that screws into the bottom of the fuel filter that has two wires and a cannon plug? A Water censer?
Well, anyway.... I need one.
One of the wires came apart at the base today after my fuel filter change.
I'm addicted to changing that filter. I change it every couple thousand miles and can notice the difference every time.
Been running about 1/2 bio, (B99) once in a while for fuel conditioning, but it will clog filter one after another in a hurry. Even months after not using it.
Thanks if you know the name, so that I can call Cummins with less words as possible.

If you are clogging filters like that, you are eather getting bad fuel, or there is something in your tank, Mabey sometime in the past, your fuel got algae and has never been theroughly cleaned, I have run 100ds of gallong of misc filtered veg oil through my truck, and have never had to change the filter.

Thanks Guys,
I will be looking into the longer filters. Just what I wanted. Awesome.
I thought I remember in the past a photo of two filters next to eachother under the truck near the frame? Might have been oil.
I might have to add biobor to a full tank and let it slosh around some.
Not that the filter was bad, but I like changing it when even I find my self in the parts store with a little extra money. It’s kind of an addiction ...
The one I replaced today needed changing though.
I figure if I get a longer fuel filter than I'll change it with an oil change, around 3k miles.
What’s the average for most changing their fuel filters?

I get b99 at a local station.
The front of the pump at the station is interesting. The bio (from splasing) has eaten the paint off the pump in many sopts almost down to the metal over the months.
I should take a picture of it.
