Mystery controls?

I know most of you guys have seen the black 1st Gen dually on ebay, what is the control on the steering column behind the turnsignal switch and the tilt lever? I can't find anyone I know to tell me what it is. It looks factory but.....

Give us a link, cause not all of us know what you are talking about.

Ebay links are not allowed. You'll have to look it up, sorry.

Had another look at the ad, couldn't link to that picture without linking to the whole ad, but it looks to me like someone installed an aftermarket cruise control switch.

You can post a listing number, just not a direct link to it.

Owned by a Lady and no rust anywhere with original interior. Sounds to good to be true. Looks like the front axle was rattle canned as well as other parts and there is a roll of red fabric in the floor board in one picture.

I agree looks like aftermarket cruise, but has factory switches in wheel? Maybe the clock spring went bad and they thought it was all toast so went aftermarket?

I saw the other thread with this truck, and now that its been said it does have some stuff I'm seeing that doesn't look kosher. To each is own though, still much nicer than any of mine so I won't throw stones in my glass house....or what ever pun fits there.

Looks like cruise control to me. Curious how that works with a manual, I would imagine you need to read the VSS.

I noticed it right away too. Figured the same thing: cruise control. Just saw another one yesterday too, on a clunker. I'll see if I can find the link/item number

Edit: Item #200895662460 (completed listing). Only two I've seen over the years. On closer inspection this one appears to be a different stalk than the other one.
