...or maybe not. I'm partway through project 'Dually Conversion' (did I say that outloud ) and am flushing my tank of the fuel that I assume killed my IP. I've never seen a sending unit quite like this. It appears factory and the 'spring' that keeps the pickup at the bottom is actually the return line Not sure what the thing next to the sock is--any ideas?

Looks similar to mine, but different. I think BC847 has a good write up on something with the fuel sending unit. Oh yeah, true 1/2" supply line all the way from the tank to the lift pump.

Yeah, I read through that. I expected to find stuff similar to David. The rubber and steel line are 3/8'', which is more than enough for the fuel I can('t) afford

Clearly you need to wash your sock(s) more often!

Is this Dodge's attempt to deal with spiraling fuel prices?

Yep OEM prior to Dodge going to the newer style sending unit found in 91's and up. Well except for the round thing next to the sock. My 89 and a 90 I had didn't have that..IIRC.

PM me your phone number, you have something I want.
