Did you make the bends with a porta power?

No, clamped 1/2" plate on the back side right where i wanted the bend then heated it with a rose bud on the torch and slowly bent it in. I tacked the top plate to the vertical plate just towards center of the bend to.

The plas made it super easy. Would have been a pain cutting all that with a torch and grinding. Was enough grinding as it was.

That's a plasma cutter? Looks like a syncrowave.

Yes, sir, congratulations on one excellent job! Can't wait to see the rest and the whole of it finished. You have a real eye for style, proportion and balance.

I built a cutom bumper for the front of my '67 Dodge Town Wagon
after a $*@^!@(* clipped my original front bumper and mangled it. My replacement is more like a battering ram with a winch cutout, made from 3-1/2" x 2-1/2" x 1/2" Bethlehem steel square channel. Functional and gnarly but lacks the nice stylish lines & proportions yours has. You'll LOVE having that handy step there for wrenching. Keep up the good work, very nice!

Cuts were made with a Thermal Dynamics plas and welds with a good old Millermatic. Torch was only used for the bending.
