my bumper build

Started on my front bumper during some free time. I'll post more pictures as it comes together. Here are some rough shots of what i have so far.

I know those two flat strap pieces aren't level or straight. They we just to hold something else temporarily.

Holy schneikes, bumper brackets!! I think the frame will break first!

Nice job profiling the horizontal piece to match the front of the body.

Well i was going to go smaller on the bumper brackets but i wanted the pull tabs actually attached to the mounts and not the bumper. The lighter metal looked to dinky for pull tabs so i just made them heavy partially for looks.

I still have a lot of work to do. Really just test fitting the parts before i start "shaping" the bumper. From the pull tabs to the ends will angle in towards the truck. The bottom edge across the front will angle up from the pull tabs to the ends and the bottom edge will angle back under the bumper slightly. Im $80.00 in the hole so far on it. That's counting the 10 new grade 8, 1/2" mounting bolts.

I was actually curious if you were going to angle the bumper face to match the front-end. I'm eager to see how it turns out as I'm wanting to build a set of front and rear for mine also.
