My 2nd Gen IC into 92 IC w/AC project
So we have a 92 Dodge diesel here that we are tearing down to use as a motor donor and I decided to take the 2nd gen intercooler I have been sitting on and start mapping out a game plan.
Goal: to mount the 2nd Gen IC and keep my AC condenser IN FRONT of the IC
The plan is to mount the IC off center to the drivers side. This will keep the wider IC from interfering with the AC lines and keep me from having to remove one of the two support braces that the original IC mounted to. Also, I can still use the Turbo side IC tube hole just by enlarging
what I will have to cut and or modify (this is not my truck in the photo)
IC placement to scale

I understand it is your goal to mount the condenser in front of the i/c, but why? Is the 2nd gen i/c the same depth as the 1st gen? If not, the issue you may have then is not having enough slack on the a/c lines.
I feel that it would be far easier to run the condenser behind the intercooler. Had it been me, I would much rather put a little slack in the a/c lines rather than take some out. I installed the PS i/c in front of my a/c condenser and the a/c still gets nice and cold.

Grille design, injectors, various injector pump differences. Quite a few more differences. You may want to do some research here in the forums or post a thread of your own rather than hijacking a thread such as this one that is irrelevant to the questions you're asking. No offense intended.

now with that other trucks core support out I got an even better idea of how things will fit

I can even use one of the OG brackets

Hi --
Did you keep going with this project? I'm trying to decide what I want to do to enlarge the cooler & radiator in my "new" '91.5 truck, and the work you started here was really helpful.
Thanks,
Alec
