2nd gen injectors into a 3rd gen

Buddy of mine has an '04 stock truck. He's gettin black smoke at idle so bad injector. I've an '02 and have my old injectors just sittin. Can we put these in his 3rd gen just to get him going till he gets the cash for new mo better ones? Thanks

Thats a negative, the 2nd and 3rd gen use 2 completely different highpressure IP systems, the 3rd gens are common rail.
