More Fuel, more power

How do I get more fuel to and from the VE? I am guessing something with the banjo bolt(s), injectors, 14mm head (?), 1/2" fuel feed line (thanks BC, I am going to do that sometime soon). I am wanting to get 400+hp with out spending $1500 ($200+-), if possible. Any hints guys? I am also wanting to do this on #2 alone. I think a stage IV turbo with the 18.5cm would feed it fine.

On injectors, would bosch 190's work or do I have to go bigger?

I heard KTA is making the 14mm heads again, does he still have any?

Thanks!

Jon

I doubt you're going to be able to get 400 horse for $1500 on #2 only. You'll need MUCH bigger than bosch 190's. Probably some large EDMs. I'd guess you'd need to spend 700-1000 on injectors and then I beleive a KTA 14mm head is $400 or $500. Then a good electric lift pump like wannadiesel to keep the 14mm lubed. The stage IV would be useless with those fueling levels. You'll be running WAY out of the map of the turbo and just making hot air. I'd guess you'd need a large single (~$1500) and then probably some head studs.

As far as I know, there aren't anymore KTA heads out there. If it were me, I would swap in a P pumped motor for reliable, insane horsepower numbers.

Edit: thinking of it more and there are some guys out there putting down really impressive numbers with PODs and a 12cm housing. I'd hate to see what their EGTs are like though.

You're gonna need more turbo and injectors that that to break 400 on #2.

For budget fun - get POD's, a Stage III compressor, jump the pump gear a tooth, buy or make a fuel pin, and do something with the fuel supply. Use the pump adjustments to add fuel until the EGT's scare you. You should be able to hit the mid 300's with a setup like that and have right around $1k in it. Not too shabby.

From what I read about POD's is they are not good for towing. I do occasionally tow, anywhere from 5mi to 400+mi. I now have read more and am guessing I need to raise the budget upwards of +$4000. Then some real fun is going to happen

Jon

EDIT: Occasionally meaning about once or twice every month or 2

Ive towed with my pods and no turbo mod before. I had a dump trailer FULL of large rocks, probably clocking in at about 12-13k just for the trailer and load. With the Pods and 2 or so turns of the screw, I never cracked 1200 empty with everything clean and right, and even with that load starting out uphill, never saw 1300 with my auto. I think with the right amount of pump tweaking and pods youll be okay.
