Is there any way to find out the exact date of manufactuer for our trucks? I know mine was built 4/93. What month was the last?? April or May?? I do know the `94 started in June of `93 and I thought there was a month of switch over on the line!!

IIRC, we special/custom ordered mine in late November of '93. Took possession of it in early March of '94.

 

I'm actually looking at buying a 93 ex cab roller that was built in 5 of 93.

 

I don't know the date Dad ordered his truck (now my truck) but it seems he paid for and picked it up at the dealership on March 31, 1993 (although some of the signed paperwork is dated April 1, 1993).

Do we happen to know the VIN of the last first gen to roll off the assembly line?

 

That would be cool to find that truck.

Engine plate says 6-14-93

 

I know the cummins plant has the 1st 1st gen cummins ever made, it's an 89 D250 LE. beautiful truck. has like 7,000 miles on it

 

As far as the last one made, all I could find was the last D model Dodge which was emerald green made in the Dodge City Mich. plant was April 28,1993 and the new T model started on June 28 1993.

Now what I was wondering is.. does the vin tell the exact date made?? These trucks aren't like the old Mopars with Fender tags which could tell you everything!!

Door tag on my pile says Dec. '89.

 

There is an "MDH Code" on most Chrysler vehicles that is right on the door sticker, I think on the lower left corner. That gives you the Month Day Hour of the truck's build.

eg.) if it says: MDH 061321 it means 6th month (June), 13th day, 21st hour.
