max tires on 4" lift & DRW to SRW new idea

I am looking to run 35"x12.5", I currently have the skyjacker 2" front lift springs which didn't level the truck. I really want to level the truck which will require 3" more of lift. I ordered the offroad design front shackle kit which are .5" longer then stock. I plan on on ordering the 4" lift springs from skyjacker. Which should put the front & rear near level. Look for my 6 month old 2" skyjacker lift springs for sale soon, very lightly used.

So my first question is on a SRW CTD with stock rimsand 4" of lift is this tire size possible? Second question what width and backspacing are stock CTD rims?

DRW to SRW conversion.
I mention I might be converting my truck to SRW but not in the normal fashion. As most of you know a dually has a 4.25" spacer on the front so that you can have all matching deep ofset dual rims.

Some of the issues I have read with trying to put larger rim and tire combos on the first gens is brake and suspension interference. By using a wheel with an extreme backspacing you can neutralize most of the dually spacer. Example so I have 18" x 8.5 H1 hummer rim with 7" backspacing with the dually spacer it makes the net backspacing 2.75", but you have nothing in the way to hit the brakes or the suspension.

When you do the layout the rim centerline is moved out 2" over the dually rim which I feel is not excessive bearing load. The second benefit is the inward (toward frame) tire envelope is only 1" wider the then dual rim with my 235-85-16 firestone m/t tires. The envelope is considerbly wider outward (away from frame) about 3"

My only concern is the DRW rear axle which I haven't measured yet, I think it is still two narrow to make this work.

Any comments would be great.

not too sure about your other questions, but 35s will fit, they may rub a little on sharp turns or if you articulate your truck when off roading. but its not bad. i have 33's but my bro had 35's and they were fine.

35's will clear with a 4" lift. Were the 2" springs for a Cummins? How low is it in front? I know that 8" gas truck springs= 6" for the diesel(front springs) I used the Skyjacker 6" lift for the Cummins, and it sits an inch or two higher in the front, which is the way I like it. I run 36's due to price, but can clear 38's without problems, and probably 40's, although I haven't tried them yet.

My 35's rub in the front in off camber turning... see sig for my details on lift.

Jer1... are you still using the diaphram lift pump on your truck or have you converted to the piston lift??? I was holding off on my 3200 gov spring until I changed the lift pump, but since the truck is for sale and I have the spring, I'm thinking of throwing it in and having a little fun!

Still have the stock pump for now. I'm trying to decide which route to go. Was going to do a Walbro, but now I'm thinking I might go with a piston pump and larger lines/filter. Is your 5.5" lift for a gas truck? If so, she's probably a little low in the front.

my 2" lift springs were for a CTD. Truck height measurements:
39" from driveway slab to front fender lip
42" from driveway slab to rear fender lip
25" from slab to driver door sill plate
