in the market for injectors
in the market for injectors
hey everyone, i want to upgrade my injectors. not looking for too much more power, mostly concerned with fuel economy. i use it to commute back and forth from college to home on the weekends. i heard a lot of good about the 5x12s. i was checking those out by ducky fuel injection and wolf creek (formerly J&L)??. also was looking at schied diesel 40hp injectors, they advertise possibly 2 more mpgs. heard a lot of good abt ddp's but wow are they expensive!
any advice or recommendations would be great! i dont know much about injectors haha, thanks!
oh as far as mods go this is what ive done to the truck: 4" straight, asa intake, hx35, 1 turn fuel screw and 366 spring. dont want to worry about egts, valve springs, and killing my clutch. im just using the truck as a driver for now, after i pay off all my student loans ill get serious about building the motor up haha

ddp are good. On a pretty much stock motor I made... let me look it up now... looks like 63 hp uncorrected on the old 80hp ddp4s, which are the same as the ddp3s now. they are 55lpm injectors. they were fantastic injectors.
For the price you could always try diesel auto power. They have good prices, and good customer service. I have a set of 5x.016 tips waiting for me at home that I'll be putting in next week.

i ended up ordering a set of wolf creek 5x12s.they were $435...seemed like a good price to me, advertised for 80-90 more hp and the guy that sold them to me said they have the correct spray angle 145 degrees or something like that so it puts the fuel right in the bowl of the piston. i should have them by next week ill let you all know how they run!
