Lug nut question.......thoughts?
Lug nut question.......thoughts?
Well, the previous owner of my truck didn't take much care of the aluminum wheels, much less the center caps and lugs. I'm going to remove the wheels and mount different tires. I figure that will be a great time to polish the wheels.
As far as the center caps and lugs, I don't think they can be saved! I'm thinking my 92 W250 CTD has 9/16" lugs, am I thinking correctly? Does anyone have any recommendations on lugs? I like the looks of the longer ones, like 2" or more. I was searching around and even see some that are splined now. Ever hear of a brand called Gorilla? A couple trucks ago I had McGard lugs that were great, but that was pretty expensive for 32 of them! I'll just have to try and find a decent set of cener caps(not cheapies) and keep them polished hoping they don't rust too easily.
Thanks for any input in advance.

A STOCK first gen single wheel has 1/2" studs. A dually has 5/8" studs. However, a single wheel can easily be converted to 9/16" studs. If you buy different lugs i suggest that you get something that is difficult to steal.
