check out Wannadiesel's truck... I think he used the "time" lowering system. heavy motor plus the use of the bed, well, i think the bed was used before he got it. It sits pretty low though. you may be the first to do this on purpose though, lol.

haha....i figured i would get bashed a lil bit..
i was just wondering if anyone else has done it.
right now i'm only going to lower the back since the front sits pretty low as it is, being a 2x4.....
If i do need to drop the front, is there any makers of drop spindles for two wheel drive duallys?

why, oh why, your still gonna tow with this truck even when it's slammed right?, because really theres no point of having a cummins to just cruise around with and not work with. if you wanna lower a truck keep the cummins and buy a powerstroke because they cant do much except drive on the street for looks.

haha i expected all of this, but i have firestones in the rear to help out once it gets dropped......i still plan to tow a little bit with it
The heaviest i pull is basically a car trailer with a jeep on it, so thats not a problem.
Forgive me for i have sinned.....haha

Can't help you with any pics cause I don't recall seeing any slammed 1st gens but I like the idea of a well constructed lowering system that still allows for load capacity and comfortable ride. No need to be sky high when you're towing down the highway. Off-road is a different situation completely.
You might look at Air Ride Technology's 4-link or air-over-leaf setups. They tow big trailers with lowered air ride suspension. Also check Kelderman's offerings.

Hey, Wanna- that looks just like my mom's 92 from a ride height perspective. Mine has decent springs (archwise), plus overloads, and rides a lot smoother than hers. Her front was about as low as your rear is til she got new springs.
flat tire- i bet she'd trade you rear spring set ups. Guaranteed 2-3" drop in the rear
I dont know why you'd want to lower it- lowered trucks in general dont appeal to me, esp duallies. But, then, lifts over about 2-4in dont do much for me, either.

Get her slammed, I love it. Im right behind you. Ive just got a few other things to finish up on the truck first. Do it with bags and your truck is just as usable if not more then the guys trucks that say your "crazy".
