I made two pulls (261ft and 266ft). I beat a lot of 2nd and 3rd gens. There was only 1 other 1st gen but he had twins, P-pump and weights (the rules say no hanging weights but it was late and they let some of them use them because they cried about it) but he pulled in the mod class and I beat his 1st pull and then he beat my second pull by 8ft so I was really happy by how my truck did. Check your hitch height (26" max) I had to let some air out of the tires because I had the rear blocked and my hitch was as low as it would go. I checked it on a slab and set it at 26" but were they check you are on a slope on dirt and grass and it was 27.5" but they let me pull down to a flatter spot and I was 26" on the dot. I had a real good time and will be back tonight. I started in 4 low 2nd gear and then went to 3rd but did it a little slow the second time ( I love my manual valve body Allison but the 1st to second shift is a little slow but I can change some springs and rework a valve like I did on all the other gears.). Every one is a 1st gen fan out there, I was told that there were lots of people standing up and cheering. They had the sled set up good and most people got down the track good and made it a good pull. Hope I see yall out there tonight.

I was wondering how ya did afterall. That other 1st gen had twins? I figured he'd done something since his last pull and his diesel power appearance cause it sounded different.

Anyone had anyresults... we loaded the truck at 2:15.. and there were about 40 trucks in front of us... Maybe they'll have a sled that can hook more than one truck/sled every 5mins... (or have the bugs worked out of it.)

Wish I could've see you pull. I'll post some videos in the next day or two.
You didn't miss much after you left, because the superb track hands forgot to run the box blade down the track to fill in the ruts and knock down the small mountain range in the middle of the track before my pull. Somehow between hooking up to the sled and watching for the green flag I didn't see it until I was about 100 feet out. I tried to dodge the worst of it, but when I hit it things got exciting. I'm amazed I didn't break something with all of the jumping. I should've just let off and let the sled stop me and make them fix the track...not that they would have. The officials refused me a repull. I wouldn't have been so mad it they wouldn't have been such jerks about it. We loaded up and went back to vent, but by that time the sled was completely down and they relunctantly gave refunds for 2nd pulls. Had fun, the Allison and my smaller tires worked good. Will be back next year because they promised not to have that sled ever again. There's suppossed to be another pull Sept. 29 across the road at the new track. Maybe we'll see ya'll there.
