Lifting a 2wd Dodge

Ok well this is that i did to the coils to make them fit a dodge. The coils are 88-98 Chevy truck coils. The ones i used are Fabtech coils.
Here are the pics of what i did to make them fit.

Looking at the coil.

Then i cut this much off.

Then on the other side.

And i cut this off.

Here is what the truck looked like before.

And after.

Thank
Jon

are you sitting on the upper Control arm bump stops like that? I have the daystar spacers in mine and well lets just say that in bumpy situations and rollers the truck likes to spend most of it's time in the top 1/4 of the suspension travel, topping out regularly... How's the ride? did you have to do an alignment?

Do you know if the springs are from a 2wd kit or a 4wd kit and 1500 or 2500?

I hope you put on some shoes before you broke out the cut-off wheel.

Nice write-up.

Before I got my '93, I had an '85 D250 gasser that had been lifted by using the diesel coils. Like Papecat's, mine was near the top of the uptravel and every time I went over a bump it felt like I was driving off a cliff. Let us know how it rides.

There are bump stops under the upper control arms. My old D250 had about 1/2" before the stops hit, so the suspension was always running out of travel.

I don't think you will have much luck reviving a 9year old thread .... but in his sig he says he's running 285s so I think they are 285/75/16 same size I run
