Lift pump blockoff plate

Seeing how Cummins thinks highly of their lift pump block-off plates, what gasser engine is it that has the same bolt pattern/spacer/block off plate? I know I've read it before. I see them in the gasser catalogs for cheap. I don't think it's a Chrysler 5.9, would be nice, I have one on the engine I pulled from the crew. Thanks.

Is it the same as a chevy? That seems to stick in my mind for some reason. I know I've read it before also.

I`ll third the chevy nod. It`s definitely NOT a small block Mopar,I just put a fuel pump on my 86 gasser before i sold it. I also happen to have my new piston pump sitting on my comp. desk and if memory serves me right it sure looks real close to a chevy .

It is a plate that you put in place of the mechanical lift pump to keep the oil from leaking out of your engine where the old pump was mounted. It is used when you change to an electric or belt driven lift pump.

If you remove the mechanical lift pump and install an electric you need to block off the opening where the mechanical pump was....

Is it a consensus that it's from a small block chevy? I checked jeg's and they show a 4 bolt cover for a sb chevy and 2 bolt cover for a bb chevy: http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...chItemId=11907. Sure looks like it's gotta be the big block chevy cover ...

Here you go, pretty expensive, lol.

Your local checker/autozone/advanced should have one also.

I got one from Autozone and never could get to seal - it was warped.

Thanks Jethrro, but I already ordered one from Jeg's earlier today. $5.99 a Mr. Gasket brand, comes with a gasket as well. Don't need any fancy billet aluminum etc, I'll be painting it Cummins beige after install to match my engine paint.

Edit: it definately is not the small block chevy or mopar. The correct block off plate is from a big block chevy.
