Leaking/hissy sound

When I accelerate the engine sounds like air is leaking. But it doesn't do it all the time. Would the air filter have anything to do with that?

That would make sense because I lose power when it leaks. Where do you check the leak? I thought it was the Turbo intake tube but I don't think that, that is it.

Check the hose couplings and clamps. A split in one of the hoses connecting the boost will leak under pressure and cause a power loss.

Do your brakes make a whooshing sound when you apply the brakes? Could be a bad/marginal brake booster that really leaks on acceleration...just a thought...Mark
