Leaking Heater Core?

In the lower dash area, above and to the right side of the tranny hump is a little "chute" that exits the plastic box of the HVAC stuff towards the passenger foot well. I always wondered what this miniature sliding board did. Now mine trickles a liquid every so often. Is my heater core leaking?

Does it look green? Touch a drop with a white paper towel, it might help show the green color. Or the old school taste it method. SPIT IT OUT AFTER THE TASTE AS IT IS POSION.....

With all the rain you have been having lately it might just be rain water or even just condensation.

I gave it the sniff test when I first noticed it a few weeks ago, couldn't smell anything, didn't feel oilyish. But then again, I apparently can't smell my own farts well either as my wife goes on and on about them...

Laid a blue shop towel down to collect it if it did it again. I'll swap with a white one, makes more sense. Always heard that antifreeze tastes sweet? Not tried that yet. Could very well be condensation as the inside was all fogged up when I started it last.

What's that little "chute" for anyway? Exactly what it's currently doing? Draining leaks/condensate?
