leaking fuel line nut
leaking fuel line nut
hello guyz, today i noticed when i had my hood opened up that i have two fuel lines leaks coming from the nut that connects to the injectors and the fuel lines. i tired snugging em up but they seem pretty snug already and still leaking. what can i do to get em to stop leaking? is there a o ring or something that could of gave way? thanxz in advance Dan
High pressure leaks can eat a grove into sealing surfaces , so you would need to lift nut & line , use a magnifying lens to see if the sealing surfaces are OK .
Do not undo just one end , you want to lift the line without bending , by loosening both ends & clamps .
The use a torque wrench to tighten , I do not have the spec. for that handy .

Often you can get them to reseal by cracking them loose while the truck is running, letting them squirt a little bit to clear out anything that might be keeping the flanges apart, then retightening.
