A Bosch pump shop can get what you need. I guess the solenoid died?

The wax motor doesn't move the plunger with power applied so I have no timing advance when cold. Where can I find a Bosch dealer that will sell me parts? I'm in the 20°s now and I barely got the truck started yesterday. Last winter the truck was yard art, Looks like it will be again.

It's not the KSB keeping you from starting, if you have a wax motor KSB your timing is advanced until power is applied.

When it won't start, does it just crank with no smoke, white smoke, or do you have a slow cranking problem?

I think mine's junk too...

Mine has been disconnected since I put the engin in. I start good down into the low teens. About half hour of block heater and it fires right off any colder (-30ish)

It doesn't have a problem if it's plugged in, but I live on a college campus with no place to plug mine in.

200ft of extension cord took care of that for me when I was in school with the MB and Ford diesel!!

We have no outlets outside. I want to get a house next semester. That way I don't have to hide guns/bows/things that start fires from the other residents. Oh, and adult beverages.

The engine cranks over normally and there is no smoke. That is when it won't start period. When it tries to start, it is a huge amount of blue smoke. Now that we warmed back up into the 30's, it fires right off.

Nope, unless it is happening inside the injection pump. I was thinking maybe water freezing sense it only happens below freezing. Last spring the tank came out and all the hoses were replaced along with the lift pump and filters. At that time, if there was any water it was removed. I'm careful about my fuel. Everything goes into a mixing tank first, then filtered before going into either truck. Winter gets a 50/50 mix of #1 and #2 plus my additives; PS, MMO, and MO. Summer time will see some VO as well but I never use it in the winter.
