Keyed Rims (Coined?) Answers?
I JUST RECENTLY PURCHASED A 22 FT., 1971 DODGE CHINOOK MOTORHOME, DUALLYS ALL THE WAY AROUND, AT CLOSE INSPECTION I NOTICED ALL THE RIMS HAD SPLIT RINGS WITH COIN IN COIN OUT, CAN I REPLACE THE DUALLYS WITH RIMS WITHOUT THE COIN IN COIN OUT, I GOT MIXED ANSWERS FROM PEOPLE ON THE PHONE , SOME SAY IT'S FINE AS LONG AS I REPLACE ALL THE RIMS THE SAME, AS LONG AS I USE A CONE NUT, ONE RIM COMPANY TOLD ME AT SOME POINT THE RIM WOULD FLY OFF WHILE DRIVING IF I DIDN'T USE COINED RIMS, NEEDLES TO SAY I'M KIND OF SCARED TO PROCEED, NOT SURE WHO TO BELIEVE, LETS SAY I STICK WITH COINED RIMS, WILL ANY COINED RIM BE OKAY TO USE AS LONG AS THEY FIT MY 8 LUG SPINDLE, BUYING NEW RIMS AND TIRES IS EXPENSIVE, COST MORE THAN I PAID FOR MOTORHOME, SO I'M LOOKING FOR USED COINED RIMS,
1976 coined rims?
Please help, I have a 1976 dodge camper I'm turning into a flatbed, it has 16.5" bias tires, I bought 1994 16" rims, I found out later I need coined rims, is there anything I can do to make the 1994 16" work, adapters?
