Coined Dually rims

I have been slowly rebuilding my Dodge W350 and duallies and dodges are new to me so I have made a rim mistake. My dually rims are badly rusted and pitted from dirrt and mositure getting behind the simulators. I have some stress concerns on the pits. After talking to the local tire shop they suggested I just get some new rims. I ordered up four new rims. I then sent them to the powdercoat shop and had them coated to match my truck (hammertone gray to match buckstop bumper). Well the rim they got me was for a Ford, not coined and not the correct center hole dimension, Hayes p/n 127569.

Thes new rims have greater backspacing I measured about 1/4" which moves the wheels away from each other which is good allowing more tire room. They also have greater load 2500lbs.

I have many options which I am reseaching.

Keep the fords, buy (2) more and convert the truck to run non coined.
I will need to make some type of hub centric spacer this could be okay since I may need a 1/2" spacer to run the 265-75-16" tires.
There is only .110" difference between Dodge and Ford center holes. .055" perside centering ring is pretty thin.
Might need to change the rear drums to an non-coined drum (of course they are new drums), dually drums from a 2nd gen fit a 1st?
Will require 5/8"-18 lug with intergrated washer. Euclid has them.

Sell the Fords buy (4) new coined dodge style rims and have them blasted and powdercoated @ $130 each, 70 for the rim, 10 media blast, 50 for powdercoat.

Just blast and powdercoat the stock dodge rims and not worry about possible stress issues casued by the rust pitting.

Thanks
Tony K.

Good move. The ONLY way to get the rims centered on the front of an old Dodge dually is to install two tapered lugnuts as alignment tools, install 6 of the regular lug nuts, remove the tapered lugnuts, and install the remaining two lugnuts. I keep a pair of tapered lugnuts in the ashtray. The rears wind up pretty close without this procedure because the hub is a pretty good fit, but I use the tapered lugnuts anyway. It's a stupid system - neither hub-centric nor lug-centric. What were they thinking?

can I use 1994 non-coined dodge dually rims on my 1976 coined hubs? Adapters or something ?

No you cannot use the 94 and up rims, they used a 9/16 wheel stud. The 93 and older used a 5/8 wheel stud. You need to find the correct rims for your truck. I have a set of them if you cannot find them locally. Fill out your location in your signature.
