KDP questions

Finally getting around to killing it, so tore it down today. Unfortunately USPS is making getting the kit I ordered difficult. Reminder to self, make sure to have parts shipped UPS or Fed X!
Everything looks good with pin where it belongs. So here's the questions.
Do I need to sleeve the crank for the seal? There's no groove just polished.I ordered the kit with the sleeve, maybe oops?
Do I need to replace the balancer bolts? I have read both replace and not replace.
Debating on peening the hole for the pin or using the tab. Leaning towards peening. Why introduce something else under the timing cover?
Is there a part number for the core plug behind the fan? Local auto parts store is difficult for sourcing basic stuff like that.
Thanks for the help.

What's in the "kit"?

If the crank wasn't leaking then I wouldn't sleeve it myself.

I didn't replace the bolts, just tabbed the dowel and lock-tited everything then buttoned it back up.

I just used a punch and a small hammer around the outer part of the KDP hole so it will not slide out on my last job.
I get the proper gasket to re-seal up the case, not just use dumb-dumb [RTV].
I, also like KRB, pull out the case bolts I can get too, clean them up and red lock-tite them back up.

I would never get new bolts for the harmonic balancer on my builds. The factory bolts are good quality. I just clean the bolts and holes up, blue lock-tote them in place and use a torque wrench to set them.

Sleeving a crank, would be a last resort to use if the crank was badly grooved. I would recommend getting the right seal since you say yours is smooth.

KRB,
The kits I have seen include a slightly longer bolt and a tear drop shaped washer to trap the KDP. They also include the front crank seal, that comes with the install tool. The kits I have seen also include a micro tube of red lock-tite and a tube of dumb dumb to seal up the cover.

The "kit" has the crank seal, timing cover gasket, "billet" tall tab with longer bolt. I guess I need to order a different crank seal. The one with the wear sleeve probably has a larger I.D.?
What do you use to glue the gasket to the cover like the factory did? I can smear some 'cone on it but I hate that stuff even though I sometimes use it.
Thanks guys

The seal that come with the wear sleeve will have a bigger I.D.hole.

I use a thin coat of RTV on the gasket then tighten it up lightly. A few hours later or the next morning, I torque it down to spec..
