Looks like a pretty clean, unmolested survivor.
Good job.

Thanks to all. So I'm driving to work this morning and I notice the brake and abs light is onout of the blue. Hit the brakes at the next stop sign and they went out as soon as my foot touched the brake pedal. Anyone got an idea of why it happened. Lights offf and haven't come back on Brakes work fine.

You have hydraulic pressures offsetting the other. Your brake system has two circuits-front and rear. In your 1993 model, directly under the master cylinder, is the combo differential valve/ metering valve/ proportioning valve. There is a sliding deal inside(metering valve), that has to maintain equal pressures from both circuits in order to remain in the middle. If one side has more fluid pressure than the other, it'll cause that metering valve to push or slide towards the failed side( weaker pressure side), which closes the circuit on that brake switch on top of that valve, and will send the signal to that brake light.

Your brakes may still work, but I'm willing to bet they're not at their optimum in performance.

Places to check are leaks in brake lines, at the calipers, the wheel cylinders, master cylinder, anything brake related that has a brake line attached to it. Check all those.
The other reason, is brakes not adjusted properly at the rears, excessive clearance between shoes and drums.

Lastly, your previous owner may have done or had the brakes done, and there may still be air in the lines. Bleed them out.

Dan, I have been battling this brake light dilemma for months now, so I know cause I've done all the research.
I'm getting ready to address this fix, which will be totally a different fix that I gave for you to check. Mine is related to the hydroboost, so a little different than yours. But, do check those items. I believe you'll find out why quickly

Lately, when life calls, I've been trying to let it go to voice mail...

when I had 2WD I always tossed a couple tractor trailer mounted tires in the bed. I could go anywhere and never ran snow tires. Good thing I've got my late Uncle's W250...**** tires got too heavey to put in the bed for some strange reason....

So I been working a lot and haven’t been here in a while. But!! It’s in the body shop and here are some pics

done a lot of work to the truck this year. I had the entire front end rebuilt. And I mean all the way to the frame bushings. Six new tires. New shocks. Ac system went through. New wheel simulators. I hope it is done by mid January. Color will be fun metal grey. Got to fix some roof rot. The piece should be here on Monday from Oliver. Thanks Oliver. When they start with the cutting of the roof I’ll post some pics. Happy new year

Just an FYI. Be aware that welding spatter can make tiny indents in glass....I found that out welding up cowl cracks years ago.
I now tape off the windshield and wing windows with cardboard and keep a jug of water nearby.

Let me know when that cab toupee shows up to fix that bit of rust over the roof line.

I would recommend covering or removing the windshield before doing the roof welding.
