just not right
You need to back off a little on the fuel screw, you're on the edge of runaway. Have you adjusted the fuel pin and star wheel yet? The intercooled trucks do have pretty small injectors, so the pump tweaks alone won't make a fire breathing monster out of them.
I only went 2 turns on the full power and 2 on the high idle. Didn't touch anything else. No smoke screw, star wheel or pin adjujstments
I get a small puff of black smoke mashing it off idle and it's clean all the way up.
Boost is around 24 (takes a bit with the 21 housing).
My temps are in the 1100-1150 range too.
Do you have gauges installed?

SORRY.....no gauges yet i figured i would be able to hear and feel if anything was wrong,it's not my first 1st gen i owned a 92 before rolling it 12 times on the freeway so i know a littel about the truck.I went 21/2 turns full power 3 turns smoke screw 1/2 turn star wheel and rotated the shaft 120degrees.......................just got real anxious
