get the whole thing and sell what you don't want for scrap, it'd all be well worth it.

"Either way if he can get the whole motor for $250 the cylinder head and P-pump are worth that"

It'd be worth it for me to pay the guy $100 to pull it and drop it in my truck as well.

Yea I think I'll make a trip to the junk yard tomorow after work.I don't think I can go wrong Complete engine all accessories $235.00,Trans $115.00.Heck I might even pick up the rear drum to drum $107.00.I try to follow a rule of thumb that a deal is only a deal when you need said item.Might make an exception to the rule. They didn't list a price for intercoolers.I placed it on the counter, the guy looked at it & said (radiator!) I said (how much?) he said $50.00.I said (SOLD)LOL

Well he's partially right, it is a heat exchanger. Just a different media flowing through it is all. I wouldn't have said anything either!

Sounds like a good deal. One thing to consider is the guy that is gonna pull it for $100 probably won't care and cut / rip whatever it takes to get it out. Might be worth it to pull yourself. That way you can get all the little stuff. Wiring, motor mounts, brackets, throttle linkage, etc. You should be able to cash in at $235.

i think thats a great thing. if you run out of fuel with a p-pump theres no worries about lubrication. if ve's were that way, id have a 14mm.

Very much so. Don't have to worry about crappy fuel not lubricating things inside thus, burning up the pump. Engine oil lubrication is a great idea!

I would not let anyone pull an engine for me unless they dont allow it. They usually hack everything. Plus in an hour in a half you would have it ready to be lifted out.

The plungers are lubed by fuel in the p-pump, just like a VE. They just have oil in the gov. and the lower end on the pump.
