Installing a probe in Number 6

I came across a BD X-monitor for REAL cheap and couldnt sell it for a profit like I had hoped, so Im gonna install it on the Dodge for some extra readings. The boost Im gonna pick up at the turbo outlet, and for the pyrometer, I want to take the reading in the number 6 cylinder exhaust port to get a reading of the hottest. Can I go straight into that port towards the engine?

Sure, no reason you can't put it in that way.

#1 usually has hotter EGT due to the lousy intake port, though. #5 and #6 score first because of poor coolant flow, not higher than average EGT.

Ya I know, thats why the wink. Diesel Power is where I read about one guy with a 92 engine swapped into an old chevy, and for power adder he had a bully dog fueling box on it. Im sure he meant fuel pin, but you know...

Actually I did. I was impressed. Must have taken QUITE a big body lift to clear the 4 foot downpipe lol.

With some 6x2.400" injectors to spool it I imagine. Guess I need to refigure my future plans.
