injector bar pressure question.

Can anyone tell me what the bar pressure is on a factory injector? I was reading online trying to find it and can not. Also whats the difference from the factory bar pressure compared to PODS. Do higher HP injectors have a higher or lower? Do all (factory and PODS) have the same spray angles and patterns? Thanks for the info

I think 245 bar is stock.

Stamped on the injector body. Pop pressure for stock VE motor injectors is 245bar. PODs run around 260bar, IIRC and a 4-hole pattern but don't recall their spray angle. I wanna say 155*?

Eariler, non i/c motors have larger piston bowls and a 155* injector spray angle and the later i/c ('91.5-'98) motors have smaller piston bowls and a 145* injector spray angle.

Typically, the higher the pop pressure, the better atomization you get from them. Higher HP capabilities will probably require a slightly higher pop pressure.

Vice versa with lower pop pressures that tend to lead to hazing/smoke, poor mileage and a better chance of burning up pistons.

But go to high and it can hurt the injector pump. I had my 5x.16's set at 255 bar and they seem good so far. I think my hazing is due to the star wheel being all the way down and smoke screw turned in.
