I am thinking of letting her go, but not in vien. I plan to get a newer cummins. It comes with a 7.5' or 8' plow, matching topper, and pics are in my gallery. Oh, and also a 2nd gen IC.

This isnt finnal, I'm just wanting a guestamate to help put some $ down on the $37K beast.

Well, seeing that you bought it for $500... ill give you $1K In all reality, I would think you could get probably $3.5K since its got some rust and dents. Of course that is just my opinion; I'm not too good at guessing...

Being 4wd you will be able to get more out of it than 2wd in that condition. If the 4wd and snow plow works, I'd say you can get a good amount for it. Probly have alot of snow up that way, so 4wd is a plus and a plow setup, I'd say start at $5k. I still don't know how you bought it for $500?? Had to have been from family??

I bought it from a guy I work with. He bought a 96' ext cab 4x4 dually with some mods and didnt want this one anymore. He isnt very mechanical and thought it was in bad shape. Sometimes it would idle really high and sometimes it would idle really low. Then it wouldnt start at all. He thought it needed a new lift pump and alot more so he bought all these new parts and never put them on. It ended up being the idle screw was set too low and the return spring was way stretched out. With the not starting, it had air in the injector lines so I cracked them and cranked it. Started right up. A whole whopping $4 later I replaced the return spring and its run and idled like a champ every since. The tranny cooler was leaking too, but he gave me a brand new HUGE one with the reciept for $150. So in all I got alot of new parts, axle nuts incase I ever want to rebuild the axles or replace the bearings. The new parts and tools add up to over $500.

I think I spent a total of 2 hours fixing and tweaking on it and $4 to get it running like a champ. Oh, I also got 5 cases of Rotella Synth oil and a box of mobil 1 oil filters.

Also I got a remote oil cooler that uses 2 oil filters, I havent put that on yet though.

All in all, the best purchase I've ever made.

Keep it. Park the new one in the garage out of the weather, drive this one in the bad weather in case someone bumps into you, you won't be all upset over your new ride all scratched up etc.

I wouldnt sell it as well. I bought an 05 back in February and love it, but there is no way I could sell off the 1st gen. That truck drove me to high school, four years of college, and to my current job without missing a lick. I know everyone is not in a financial situation to keep two vehicles, but there is no way I could part with this truck. Whenever I see an old friend they still ask me if I have my "old dodge" and I tell just them that I would never get rid of that truck. I still drive the 91 to work and on the weekends, but I'm planning on my kids driving this truck to high school later on down the road.

Lets meet at a Wal-mart parking lot half way and we'll swap it over. I have an ATV for my small plowing needs.

Its not that I cant afford more than one vehicle, Its that I have 5 now and dont want 6.

1. 2000 ext cab silv. with ALOT of Lingenfelter and Brent Frazier Racing goodies. 482.4rwhp all motor and have that 225hp shot if needed.

2. 2000 Z28 6 speed. TR224 114 cam, lots of SLP stuff. 12.1@110 AND 34mpg.

3. 1999 Blazer 4x4. 5" lift, 32x11.50 MT's, T72 turbo@ near 12psi

4. 1998 Saturn SC2. mostly stock 40mpg beater.

5. The old dodge beast. One of my favorites to drive.
