i pulled into the local wal-mart and there it was. a 4x4 club cab 1st gen... oh how i have been searching. i pulled closer and it looked pretty clean, once looking closer i noticed the paint was pretty much flawless. they even put sun shades up on the quick trip into wal mart. i peaked in at the mileage 74,000!! and the tire size was 245/75/16 which if i am correct is too small and there for the mileage would actually read higher that what it really was. after finally tracking down the owner i asked what they wanted, of course i heard "it's not for sale" i asked if they really needed 4x4 and that i had an awsome 2wd to trade and i would give some money on top... "sorry, not for sale" i almost dropped to my knees to beg but decided that was a little much, so i gave them one of my cards and said to give me a call if they ever decide to sell. oh well... guess i'll keep looking.

 

Good idea on the card, I need to get some made LOL.

 

Ain't that great.... so far I have found two notes and three business cards on the the windshield with offers to buy mine.....on a side note.... I am seeing more and more of these older trucks on the streets and they are all showing up looking like someone did a major detailing job on them to.....

this might not be the best thing to do as a first post, dont mean to rub it in, but i just picked up this bad *** rig.

but dont think it was an easy find! i have driven over 1500 miles in search of the right CTD! i finally found one that was nice enough about 230 miles from home!

i paid $8700 + tax. not cheap, but not the highest i've seen. it was the nicest of all the rigs i looked at. i cant wait to pick it up this friday!
