Idiot light stuck on

So I've been over this before, the check engine light used to come on and off and flicker while driving, I noticed that it did it more when cold. Last night, driving home from school it came on and stayed solid. It did it this morning as well. Do you think it's a frayed wire that finally grounded, or a bad ground that came loose? How should I diagnose this? I have the grid heaters, A/C clutch, and alternator bypassed from the pcm (which is why the light is on probably).

Should I just pull the computer altogether, gut the FSS and install a cable shutoff, and wire the ignition to a push button? What else would I have to bypass?

Last resort would be to just unplug the CEL i guess...

Thanks, Tom

Have you tried to see what code is setting the CEL?

Yeah there is no doubt that it should be on, now that I think about it for a while. The thing senses a disconnect in the grids, AC, alternator, among many other things. The weird thing is it never used to be on. All the codes I pulled are relevant to the PCM failure. It used to flicker like crazy, especially when cold or under power, it was the weirdest thing.

Probly gonna go rip the light out tomorrow ha!
