HX35/40 hybrid build-up?
Hello to all and hope your day is going better than mine. Although, I guess it aint going that bad, I'm working on my junk! I am hoping someone can tell me what I need to do to accomplish this task.I am swapping an HPDR-HX40 compressor and pinwheel onto my HX35. The problem I have encountered is that the compressor back is cast to the rest of the turbo and has been machined to fit the smaller pinwheel. Does anyone know if I can swap the turbine housing, turbine wheel, and shaft to make this work? I thought I had done all the proper research and even have an HX35/40 illustrated parts breakdown and rebuild instructions. I'm feeling pretty retarded bout now. The HX35/12cm is off an '02 Cummins (I think) and the HX40/16cm is an upgrade from the same truck. I purchased both turbos from the same guy. I would greatly appreciate any help! Thanks!

I also meant to ask if anyone was running a PDR HX40 and if it really spooled like a 14cm the way they claim. I had a 16cm non-wastegate housing on my old h1c and it was very laggy compared to this 12cm. Thanks!

Well judging by all the post's I figure you guys are ready to know how it all went! Love it! It takes her a second longer to light off, but when she does shes roll'n. With no brakes I left about a 15ft. strip of rubber down the highway Love it! Think I'm gonna get some bigger sticks now and hoping to be able to turn the pump up some more.

i did the same to my 02 with a kit from HTT i had the housing machined works good but still gets hot with just 50 HP injectors, mine has a non-Wg 14cm housing and spool up isnt that much worse than stock.
