hx 35 more fuel less boost
hx 35 more fuel less boost
Hey guys, forgive my ignorance, lookin for some advice and info.
Whats going on with my truck: I had the stock inj with a custom ground fuel pin,the hx 35 has the that divider drilled out and the hole made larger to 13/16" if I recall correct. The truck would run about 34 lbs@ WOT and qiet a bit of smoke.
I recently installed bosch 190's inj then reinstalled the stock fuel pin,the star wheel has about 2 threads showing(got more room to go on the power screw)The truck runs great! the 190's gave me a lil more power and hardly smokes at all and im runnin a solid 35 psi @ WOT.I would like to turn up my power screw just a lil bit more to get some more power but I dont want to increase any boost pressure...my limited experiance has taught me if you add fuel you will get more boost!
So the question is how do I increase the fuel Via power screw with out adding boost pressure? is there some sort of manual boost controller I can install?seems like I read somthing about manual boost controllers a while back?
Thanks for any help,I apprecaite ya'll shareing your vast knowledge with my newb self.

Sure feel like a retard on this.So A guy can just buy one of those universal boost controllers Or make the ball and spring one out of a brass "T" and just put that inline on the vaccum line to the wastegate...yes? this give me the ability to dial down the signal for less WOT boost?
Thanks for the replys guys. For now I think I'll leave the ground pin out,It fuels hard! and I think a lil to soon.In hind site I think I should have just ground on the upper part and left the factory bottom slope the way it was,the ground pin fuels to much to soon I think...So I figure I can do more fine tuneing just useing the power screw. Its a work truck,I use to haul my toyhauler around and do chores with it.
