Exclamation More fuel pressure=LESS pump leaks?????

I just finnished up my full fuel system and its regulated at 18psi. I only have a 15psi gauge and it pegs right out.

Before with the stock LP pushing 5-6psi at idle and about 3psi driving, and of course 0psi at anything over 1/3 throttle, the pump had a pretty steady drip from the pump head, as well as the normal leaky fuel pin. Well I just ran it for almost an hour with the new fuel system to test out the electric fans, and the entire time I got one drip from the pump head and just a few from the fuel pin. Im def not complaining, but why would higher fuel pressure make the pump all of the sudden nearly stop leaking?

It was mad at you before because of letting the fuel psi drop to 0 for so long. now the pump is happy so it stopped leaking.

I haven't had a pump apart. But if those seals are lip seals then more pressure pushes them down on the shaft with more force, so less leaking. That is how irrigation pipe works, the pressure forces the seals against the pipe.

just the shaft has lip seals, the rest is o-rings. The lip seals arent leaking, just 2 of the o-rings.
