How to I make it ride smooth (rear)
OK I have learned a lot in the last few months about dodge. I have redone the front end (steering) 6'' lift . Change over with the crossover steering and a much neede trac bar. wow what a difference. got all my steering back , bump steering is gone. The front skyjacker springs ride ok. but the rear springs are a mother f... . I don't think any technology has change with that set up since 1973??? There is nothen added on ( no add leafs) I have 2 blocks set up for the height. I have taken the shocks off it does ride a little smoother and now sometimes it feels like im on a pogo stick. but still too harsh and it gets old quick. I look at the newer trucks how they change they went 8'' longer and 1'' wider and have taken have the leaves away and still handle the same weight?? Has any body done anything to make the old school dodge ride better.?? Thanks Howard

Take it from someone who has done the poly spring tip install. It helped a little, but it's not the saving grace. best thing would be to take a few leafs out or switch to a longer newer style leaf pack. Welcome to DTR. Send me a few pics of the truck all together.

Remember -
These are TRUCKS not station wagons or sedans.
Put a small load at or near the tailgate -
something like 3 or 4 bags of cement, or 8 or 10 concrete blocks.
I used to have a 3' piece of RR track next to mine
She'll still ride somewhat rough but it won't jar the fillings out of your teeth anymore.

I thought about that also. there about 5 bills. and only one that make it is skyjacker.and u still need blocks.( its alot of arch) But they cant tell me either way if it will ride better. I was talking to DNR customs about setting me up with some brackets so I can run the new style leaves . ( there like 3stagesof leaves ) . just wanted to see if there was a easy way out. (wishful thinking i guess) thanks for the replies. Howard
