Runaway question

When I first turned my pump up I set the full power screw 1/2 turn from a runaway. Is there any mods after that that could change where the runaway happens? I am just wondering since I have much more fuel pressure now and I just got alot more rpm out of it with the fuel linkage.

I guess I'm a little slow tonight. What are you wanting to do? Make it where you can turn the screw in more before "run away"? Or prevention of a "run away" cause you think you have made it more prone to a "run away" with the newly found fuel pressure and rpms? Sorry if it's obvious to what you are wanting to do.

A lot of guys play with the fuel screw till it runs away or starts hanging RPM then back off just a bit.

I'm 1/4 from bottomed out and that last 1/4 turn will make the RPM hang just a bit.

I am not looking to turn it up anymore. I wanted to know if by adding fp and more rpm if it could run away. I know that it is half a turn from a run away cause I turned it up till it ran away then backed it off.

Not likely, run away is in the pump itself.

If you put in a different gov spring, that will change it. Might not run away, but it will hang unless you back it off. Not sure if lift pump pressure does anything or not. Mine smoked more at idle, but didn't seem to idle too much faster.

I changed the gov spring before I turned the full power screw. I didnt notice and change in idle after the fass so I guess I should be ok.
