smooth comp install

Ok so it's in the mail, who has the slick way to mount the controller and any quirks I should know about?
Thanks in advance,
GREG

The way me and my roommmate have ours installed is running it into the ashtray. If you take a dremel or some wire snips, you can cut out a few of those plastic fins in the tray, and the comp fits nice and snug. Plus my roommate calls it "stealthy" because you can still use the ashtray for holding stuff and even flip it closed when the ricers look for something when after you're done smokin'em!

Get an "Edge Comp Mounting bracket" from SmokinDiesel. It's a very professional setup. Sits just to the left of the ashtray. Check it out here.

The ashtray trick is the way to go. Takes a little bit but it's worth it. Do a search here or the TDR, there's intstructions floating somewhere

Here is a pic of mine mounted under the aftermarket CD player.

If you have an aftermarket radio and you want to mount yours the same, shoot me a PM and I will give ya the part number for the kit and instructions.

I seen somewhere on here a guy cut his plastic bezel just above the vents that are in the pic above. It looked great. Maybe some one can remember the link and put it on here for us.

I mounted my ATS torque commander that way (same housing as the Comp), right now comp is velcro'd under the dash (just intalled it) , I think the ash tray is the way I'm lean'in.

Installing mine in my console I'm building, if I ever get the time

Hey MLR1 nice set-up, did the original wiring harness of the comp reach all the way to the radio or did you have to extend it ??

My harness reached without having to extend it. I did have to run it over the top of the pedal/column mounting bracket. If you run the harness under the column you will need to extend it.
