hood stack picks
Here's mine. Its not the prettiest hole, but it works. And you don't even notice it unless you look real close. I just cut about 4 1/2" hole and then bent the sides down to try and make it a little stronger and not a sharp edge since there is less support with a hole there now. Its about a 5 1/2" hole with the sides bent down. The nice thing is I cut the hole long enough so I can still open the hood just fine without hittin the stack.

Nope i've had it on for quite a few months now and have seen a lot of cops and they haven't bothered me. Its really cool, i like it! And no i don't really get water in there. It may get a little in it when it rains but it evaporates as soon as it hits the exhaust. And it helps the turbo cool off, When you shut the truck off, you can see the heat waves comin out of the hole.

Well right now i got the longer 5 stack on with a flapper on it so it keeps the elements out. I have 3 different tips i can put on, I got one with a flapper, a turnout, and just the short mitre cut. I am leavin the flapper on for the winter though. When i have the short mitre on, I just put a coffee can on top of it.
I would weld some expanded metal inside of the pipe so that people can't put (anything large) directly into your turbo. If I was left it parked in Milwaukee, I would find a way to lock the flapper shut. lol
Yeah i've thought about doin that, I haven't had any problems so far cuz i live in a small town, but i think i will weld epanded metal in there when i get time.
And no i don't really get anything in the engine bay.
