Hey water/meth guys...

How much are you running? As in, what percent and what size nozzles? I mainly just want to see if I can get a good boost on the dyno, so I was thinking 50/50 through two 625 ml nozzles, triggered at 30 psi.

I'm running a 150psi pump with two 14 GPH (882ml/min) nozzles with a 50/50 mix of water and methanol. My pressure switch turns the system on at 20#'s of boost. On the dyno I made 388HP and 923TQ on fuel only, and 432HP and 968TQ with the methanol on. Somewhere I saw a break down of how much injection psi you need per nozzle at different boost pressure. If I remember correctly I actually need the 250psi pump to properly atomize the W/M mixture with 40#'s of boost. I wouldn't go any smaller than what I'm running, but that's just my .02 .

I think my mix was actually closer to 40/60. I lost a head gasket with a 50/50 mix in, but it was due to operator error.

How's that? Triggered it too early? I'm still running stock timing, so I am hoping that will help my HG

That's pretty much my setup. Gives me 20 HP when ridiculously overfueled. When I've run in valet mode the same tuning is worth around 40 HP.

My controller starts at 20 psi with full delivery at 30 psi. It rockets past 20 psi so fast when you're hammering on it that it might as well be on a switch.

Original untouched head gasket still holding after many dyno runs and lots of WOT tuning blasts. (wannadiesel crosses fingers on both hands while touching wood) I think what keeps it in place is my 40 psi wastegate setting.

I'm running a Snow system with the pump at factory settings - 150psi. I'm using a .375 and a .625 nozzle and have seen 45 RWHP increase over #2 on the dyno using snows Analog Stage III controller. My mix is 49% WM to 51% water - Snows Boost Juice. I normally mix my own but decided to try the Boost Juice because it comes in 1 gal. sealed containers and I usually don't need that much W/M - it just goes bad. I can feel the difference between new mix and old mix.

I see the same thing, just running lower numbers, 17-to-25. Towing is where the variable controller really shines. I can watch EGT start to climb going into a long grade, but just settle out at 1200 or so and hold there as boost rises into the mid 20's range while I keep pushing the skinny pedal further down until it hits the floor. No worries.

I had a couple little issue's, the first being that I had the pressure switch set at 10psi, the second was my injection pump being up against the head, and the final problem was showing off with a cold engine leaving my first dyno event. 40psi, 4K rpm, too much timing, and a 50/50 W/M mix on a cold, only been running a couple minutes engine, is not a good combination.
My system is on just the regular on-off style pressure switch, I didn't have the money for the fancy progressive controller. I also mix my own, I can get methanol at work.

I only had to do it three times to figure out why I was blowing head gaskets.
