help with oil leak

I am noticing more and more oil coming from the front of the engine. I am guessing a majority of it is from either the pan or the seal, as I havent cleaned it up yet. But I also notice what looks like oil farther up the case on the opposite side of my IP.

Does the cover have a gasket? etc. I am gonna tab my KDP and not sure if I need another gasket or if its just RTV.
Thanks

I'm in the same boat as you. I bought the front crank seal(s) (there is 2 of them, one with a sleeve and one with out). I also bought the cover gasket, it wasn't cheap but I talked to the Cummins shop foreman and he stressed that I didn't use RTV gasket maker with or without the gasket.

All the 24 valve trucks I've done KDP jobs on use RTV instead of a gasket from the factory. They seem to be less prone to leaking between the cover an the case, too. As long as you get all the oil off the mating surfaces and you don't use too much blue goo, I don't see any reason why it won't work.
