Heater Fan
Ok, so my (bran new) heater fan no longer has a whole lot of power. I tested it against the battery, and I know for a fact it's not the fan. I think it is the HVAC controls in the dash. The highest setting hasn't worked for a while, but now the rest feel like low. What do I do. I really just want it to work like it did from the factory. Don't want it to blow the dust out of the cab. lol

I recently had a similar issue, was driving to work (in a blizzard), probably had about a little over an hour commute that day, anyway I was a couple of miles from work and smelled plastic getting hot and the fan output seemed lower than normal. The control panel/switch was almost too hot to touch. Pulled the switch and took it apart (one of the many upsides of these old dinosaurs is that many components are still "fixable" and not disposable). Inside I found globs of old dried and blackened grease but otherwise it looked fine. Cleaned out all the gook, gave the contacts a quick shine w/scotchbrite and re-greased it. Put it all back together and it `s been working great ever since. I`d still like to relay the circuit like Jim Lane but for now it works very well.

Might want to also look at the blower resistor behind the glove box.

Well I tore the switch out, and one of the terminals is loose, it was hot to the touch, and the wiring harness was burned where the lose terminal was. Time for a new one. Let's see if dodge still sells them...
