I don't think braising will work on a turbos exhaust side. If I remember correctly braising rod melts at around 800* and my EGTs have gotten up to 1500*. Cast iron and nickel melt at over 2000* where I think the welding part would be needed. I think the braising will weaken enough to re-crack with the high exhaust temps. I might be wrong and I hope someone more knowledgeable corrects me if I am, but that's just my two cents.
