are the housing on 341's the same as the 351's, if so try and find a cheap 341 and swap housings

 

the ex wheel is smaller on the 341 so even if the rest of it is the same you'll have to machine it out I would think.

 

What about welding it? There is some nickel rod out now that doesn't even require pre or post heating.

 

Sweet!! I've just braised in the past, the stuff i used was basically like a super solder. It would become tough as nails after it cooled...

 

I don't think braising will work on a turbos exhaust side. If I remember correctly braising rod melts at around 800* and my EGTs have gotten up to 1500*. Cast iron and nickel melt at over 2000* where I think the welding part would be needed. I think the braising will weaken enough to re-crack with the high exhaust temps. I might be wrong and I hope someone more knowledgeable corrects me if I am, but that's just my two cents.

 

i was talking about a cast iron intake manifold, not necessarily a turbo housing. Thats why i thought it was sweet that they came out with a nice nickel rod.
