Hard luck story for the day
Hard luck story for the day
So, I was on track for 2 hours to remove the turbo, drill manifold for pyro probe, remove 18cm and install 16cm, install stg IV compressor/wheel, and re-install in truck.
Then, while torqueing down the wheel nut, I found out the hard way that my inch-lbs torque wrench doesn't work in the counter clockwise direction.
So, as you can all guess, suddenly the nut and the end of the threads came off in my hand.
Anyone know if you can just buy the shaft/tubine wheel assembly or am I going to have to try and find a whole turbo center section?

Thanks Dave - I'll try Paul on Monday. Come to think of it, a buddy of mine might still have his H1C sitting around after an HX35 swap. I'll have to wait until he gets back to town Monday as well.
Now that I've taken a "time out" and have me wits about me again, I guess I'll continue on and install my 4" exhaust and gauges. Hopefully there will be no other major set backs.
